Together, we are Apalachicola Riverkeeper!

March 12, 2020– Since 1998, Apalachicola Riverkeeper has worked for clean water and a healthy Apalachicola River and Bay. At the core of what we do is protect what we love. With the uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak, Apalachicola Riverkeeper’s first priority is to protect the communities we love and shift how we do our community-based work and organizing.

Currently, our staff are working remotely. Most field work continues, though procedure changes have been made for health and safety. Office hours are by appointment only. You can reach us at [email protected]  or 850-653-8936.

The March 21 Annual Member Meeting and Dinner was postponed until December 5. Previously purchased dinner tickets will be honored. Watch for updates later in the year. We look forward to this opportunity to recognize the people who have been on the front lines of protecting the Apalachicola River watershed. From past staff and board members to dedicated volunteers, we want to thank and celebrate you in December.

We know we are stronger together and that we could not do this work without you:

TOGETHER, WE ARE APALACHICOLA RIVERKEEPER!

Other events and meetings, like Spring Volunteer Orientation, will be postponed or turned into online gatherings. We will stay in touch through social media, e-News and our website. While we will be doing things differently for everyone’s safety, be assured our work to protect the Apalachicola River watershed continues.

Times may feel uncertain right now, yet we know that our work to protect Apalachicola River and Bay must continue. If you can, please help us stay strong.

Until we can be together in person, please be safe.

With gratitude,

Your Apalachicola Riverkeeper Team
