Give of your liver to save the River! SweetWater Brewing Company continues their seven-year tradition of supporting Waterkeepers up and down the eastern seaboard through an annual summer fundraising campaign. The general campaign theme is Save Our Water and Apalachicola Riverkeeper joins in the fun by holding “Save the Apalach!” events in Apalachicola, St. George Island and Tallahassee. Our business partners know how important the Apalachicola River is to our region and partner with us by holding FUNdraisers intended to also raise awareness for the importance of our waterways.
Businesses participating in the 2013 Save the Apalach campaign include Tallahassee’s New Leaf Market, Proof and the Backwoods Bistro. Out on St. George Island it’s the Blue Parrot, the Marketplace (aka the Blue Store) and Sometimes it’s Hotter. In Apalachicola it’s the Taproom and the Honey Hole and joining in the fun this year, the Whippoorwill on Lake Talquin in Gadsden County.
